About Dr. Deepak Gupta

Dr. Gupta is board certified in Phlebology, one of the first in Canada. He is 1 of only 3 in Ontario and 26 in Canada as of 2009 to have this designation. He is the medical director of both VenaClinica and Canadian Vascular Laboratories. He is also a vascular surgeon at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket, Ontario.

He obtained his medical degree at the University of Toronto, and completed his residency in general surgery at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto. He completed fellowships in vascular surgery at Sunnybrook and at Ohio State University.

Dr. Gupta holds certificates in vascular and general surgery, is a registered physician in vascular interpretation and a registered vascular technologist. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and is a member of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, the American College of Phlebology, and the Society for Vascular Ultrasound.
