About Dr. Ronald Colapinto

Dr. Ronald Colapinto FRCP(C), DMR(D), is the founder and director of the Toronto Vascular Institute (TVI). A graduate of the University of Toronto he is a vascular radiologist who was in charge of the peripheral angiography department at the Toronto General Hospital from 1964 to 1985. He was appointed a full professor at the University of Toronto in 1984. He was elected a Fellow of the Society of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology in 1986.

Dr. Roland Colapinto has published a considerable amount of peer reviewed articles and is considered a pioneer in the use of many unique treatments for a wide range of conditions including: balloon angioplasty, TIPS (Transjugular Intrahepatic Portocaval Shunt), out-patient angiography, and EVLT.
